MAMMOET TPA
Mammoet has initiated development of a new heavy transport solution called Trailer Power Assist (TPA).
Using these hydraulically powered trailers reduces the number of trucks required to pull and steer the trailer combination to just one – greatly enhancing versatility, maneuverability and safety as well as lowering the carbon footprint of the entire transport. Together with Mammoet and Scheuerle we developed this impressive combination into a scale model!
The model consists of a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 8x4 truck, ten K25 modules (resulting in 60 axles), four 1000HP Power Packs and a massive pipe load. The complete combination has a total length of approximately 130cm and weighs more than 11 kg. The model is currently on display at the CONEXPO in Las Vegas and will be available next month.
